One Time Out

This trio takes its namesake and slightly unconventional instrumentation of saxophone/guitar/drums from Paul Motian's trio with Joe Lovano and Bill Frisell.

The group explores original music by its saxophonist Michael Hudson-Casanova and guitarist Andrew Sudhibhasilp, as well as compositions by Motian, Frisell, Kenny Wheeler, Carla Bley, and others. Drummer Adam Shead provides a great range of dynamics and textures during the often haunting melodies and searing improvisations this ensemble can offer.
